Players create their teenage characters, each with their own unique skills, personalities, and backstories. These characters will need to work together to survive in this new world.
No apocalypse? No problem! High School Apocalypse has a built-in random apocalypse generator. It could be a zombie outbreak, an alien invasion, a natural disaster, a viral pandemic, or any other cataclysmic event. The choice of apocalypse will set the tone and challenges for the game.
Define the location and environment in which the game is set. Is it a ruined city, a post-apocalyptic wasteland, a fortified high school, or something entirely different? The setting will influence the challenges and resources available to the characters.
Your characters may encounter other survivor groups or individuals and can choose to form alliances, trade resources, or compete for control of valuable assets. Or work to build and defend a community within your chosen location.
High School Apocalypse is powered by the Cortex Prime system. Use all your favorite dice, except the D20!
The game is driven by a Game Runner (GR) or storyteller who guides the narrative and introduces challenges and plot twists. Alternatively, it can be played in a more collaborative, player-driven fashion.
